i found a baby owl on the ground ?
what can i dothere was a storm and very windy ?iv ringed up rspca ‘wires’and wildlife rehabilitation centa but there unavalable to my area the owl is in a dark box with a towl for bedding it has all its feathers and looks very healthy i dont whant it to die if it can stay alive till tommorow morning i can ring up my vet maby they will care for it till a wildlife carer can be found i can not get close to it as it trys to bite but is there anything i can feed it so i can make sure it can live till the morning?i dont think i should put it back where i found it as im very sure it fell out of the nest.im in NSW australia (newcastle)
Are you sure this owl fell from a nest, or is it a fledgling that left the nest on it’s own? You should watch from afar to see if there are any adults tending to it. If so, leave it alone. If not, then yes you should get it to a wildlife rehab. Look for one near you here:
